Best Dance Institute in Calgary
We prepare and encourage students to take part in various Bhangra and Gidha competitions in North America, In 2014,2015 our two teams participated in the competition (Elite Bhangra), Bhangra idols, and achieved a special honor Award. After that in 2015, our 3 teams participated in the Bhangra Gidha competition in Surrey and placed 3rd and 3rd in Gidha senior Categories. Moreover, in 2015 our boys and girls participated in the Bhangra competition in Edmonton and placed 2nd and 3rd. In 2016, our Junior girls placed 2nd. In October 2016, we attended our first competition other than Elite Bhangra in Toronto (Bhangra in the 6ix). In this competition, our senior girls received the Best Nakhra Award. In 2017 our senior girls placed 3rd Position in the Bhangra competition.
Beginning Our Club
Since the beginning, our club has also held many shows and 1 Giddha competition of our own. Some shows include Aayi Vasakhi 2016, Jashan E Bhangra 2015 (Boyz Theater), Jashan E Bhangra 2016 (Jublee Auditorium), and Aa Punjab Dikhawan 2017 (Jublee Auditorium) as well as many more. We are also proud to take part in different events of the City of Calgary cultural festival 2015-16 (Genesis Center), Vivo Country Hills 2017. Our students also performed in various events of charitable trusts and clubs (Sikh Virsa 2016, Punjabi Likhari Sabha 2015-17, Red Fm, Indian Ex-serviceman Club, Virasat welfare society, Alberta Health Services, South Asian Canadian Association, Stampede Breakfast. We as a club, organize at least 1 show every year for all our students to get a chance to perform and show the audience what they have learned.
Young Bhangra Club
At Young Bhangra Club we always do our best to make it our goal to teach the students not only Bhangra but also about cultural values, positive life goal, a healthy environment, and Team spirit. To back up our goal we have so much more than just Bhangra classes which are listed on the next page.
We are proud to have become Calgary’s 1st official Bhangra club.
